About me

Prof. Antonio Gasbarrini, born in Bologna on 11 October 1963, is Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in Rome. Full Professor of Internal Medicine at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore is Director of the UOC Medicina Interna and Gastroenterologia and of the Centro Malattie dell’Apparato Digerente (CEMAD) of the Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Gemelli IRCCS of Rome. He graduated in Medicine and Surgery with honors in 1988 at the University of Bologna and is a specialist in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy. He attended the Liver Transplantation Department of the University of Pisttsburgh (USA) from 1990 to 1993 as Clinical and Research Fellow in Gastroenterology.
