About me

Professor Geoff Mitchell’s has specialist qualifications in General Practice and Palliative Medicine, a PhD in palliative care, and is a practicing GP. He has published 181 articles in peer reviewed journals as of February 2018. His Scopus-H index of 25 from 151 articles, with a total of 2028 citations. The subject of his writings have been in the areas of palliative care and general practice, clinical treatment trials using n-of-1 methodology, health services research from a primary care perspective, and a wide array of subjects relating to his role as a mentor of clinically based colleagues. He is in demand nationally and internationally as a speaker on primary palliative care topics and n-of-1 trials and their application. He was a consultant to the Kingdom of Bahrain in the development of palliative care services.
